The campus training drill that included a MOCK campus lockdown is over.

The Citadel is conducting a training session. It is a mock security breach/campus lockdown drill.

In the event of an actual emergency, campus gates would be locked. Persons on campus would be instructed to lock and barricade doors, turn off lights, silence phones, stay away from doors and windows, and remain in hiding until a message is received that the emergency is over.

The Citadel will return to normal operations and class schedule Tuesday, October 6.

After monitoring updated weather forecasts, we've revised our reporting instructions to only mission essential employees report to work tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 5. If these employees cannot safely report to work, they should contact their supervisor.

Evening classes will be held as scheduled.

Cadets who have not already reported back to the Citadel are still required to be back by 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. If they cannot safely make it back on time, they should contact their TAC officer.

Student services including the dining facility, Daniel Library and Deas Hall will operate normal hours tomorrow.

The expectation is to resume normal class schedules and campus operations Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Morning and day classes at The Citadel are cancelled for tomorrowMonday, Oct. 5. However, evening classes will be held as scheduled.

Faculty and staff are required to arrive at work no later than 11 a.m. If road conditions prevent an employee from safely traveling to campus, the employee should work the issue directly with their supervisor.

Citadel cadets are scheduled to return to campus today at 6 p.m. for knobs and 7:50 p.m. for upper class cadets. Cadets in areas where a safe return is not possible should contact their TAC officer. For those who cannot safely return today, they are required to be on campus no later than 4:30 p.m. Monday. If cadets cannot safely return by 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, they should contact their TAC officer.
